Let's begin
What does your routine actually need?
Six questions with our medical director. Along the way he'll explain what tends to get depleted on a GLP-1 routine and why. About a minute.

GLP-1 medications work by slowing digestion and reducing appetite. That's the mechanism — but it means fiber, fluids and protein intake usually drop at the same time, and people aren't always told about that part. Most of what people struggle with traces back to those three. Let me ask you a few things.

Timing matters more than people expect. The first month is when appetite drops fastest, and intake falls with it. By month three the adjustment has usually settled and the challenge becomes consistency instead.
Where are you in your routine right now?

Slower digestion is the mechanism these medications work by — which is also why regularity is the most commonly reported day-to-day issue. Reduced thirst signalling is the second, and it's rarely discussed. Lower appetite means protein and electrolytes usually fall short too.
What's been hardest to stay on top of?

This is the question I care most about. Most fiber supplements use psyllium, which needs a great deal of water to work properly. On a GLP-1 routine your thirst drops — so the fiber meant to help can end up doing the opposite. It's the single biggest reason I formulated Gut 1 with acacia gum instead.
How much water do you get through in a day?

A GLP-1 routine tends to create gaps in five areas at once, not one. Which is how most people end up with four or five separate products — fiber, a prebiotic, enzymes, electrolytes, aminos. Bought separately that runs well over $200 a month, on five different schedules.
How many things are you taking daily right now?

Most people notice a difference in the second or third week, not the first — so the routine has to survive long enough to work. In my experience the usual reason it doesn't isn't dissatisfaction. It's running out and not getting around to reordering.
How do you like to keep a routine going?

One last thing worth saying plainly: Gut 1 does not replace your medication and it is not a weight loss product. It covers the nutritional gaps a GLP-1 routine tends to create. Most people notice a difference in the second or third week. Give it that long before you decide.
