FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Everything people ask us before their first scoop.

Can I keep taking it if I stop my GLP-1?

Yes. Nothing in Gut 1 depends on the medication, and the things it supports — regularity, digestion, hydration, muscle — still matter after you come off. Many people find the transition off a GLP-1 is exactly when they want to keep the routine.

Can I take it with my GLP-1? Will it interfere with my medication?

Gut 1 is a dietary supplement, not a medicine, and it is designed to be taken alongside GLP-1 treatment — that is what it was made for. It is not a substitute for your prescription. As with any supplement taken alongside prescription medication, check with the doctor managing your treatment before you start, particularly if you take other medication or have a medical condition.

Do you ship outside the United States?

Not yet. We ship across the United States and Puerto Rico, with free shipping. We know there is real demand in Latin America — Colombia and Panama come up most — and getting a supplement approved for import in each country takes time and paperwork rather than just a shipping label. Sign up for our emails at the bottom of this page and we will tell you the day we can ship to you.

How do I skip, change or cancel my subscription?

From your account, any time, without emailing anyone. You can skip a month, move your delivery date, change the size, or cancel outright. Nothing is locked in — if the timing is wrong this month, skip it and come back next month. Manage your subscription.

Is Gut 1 only for people taking a GLP-1?

No. Gut 1 was formulated with GLP-1 users in mind, because that is where Dr. Roizental kept seeing the same problems in his practice — constipation, poor digestion, dehydration, muscle loss. But the formula is fiber, prebiotics, digestive enzymes, electrolytes and amino acids, and anyone can take it. People who deal with constipation tend to notice it most, whether they are on a medication or not.

Is it safe to take every day, long term?

Gut 1 is made to be taken daily — that is the whole design. It is produced in the United States in a [cGMP] supplement facility and [THIRD-PARTY TESTED]. If you are pregnant or nursing, have a medical condition, or take prescription medication, talk to your doctor before starting.

What does it taste like?

Lemon-lychee, mixed in water. It is light rather than sweet — our customers on GLP-1 medication often tell us their sense of taste has changed and that strongly sweetened drinks have become hard to finish, so we kept it restrained. It mixes clear, not thick.

What is actually in it?

Five things, in one scoop: fiber for regularity, prebiotics to feed the gut bacteria you already have, digestive enzymes to help you break food down, electrolytes — sodium, potassium and magnesium — for hydration, and amino acids to support muscle. Full dosages are listed in the Supplement Facts on the Gut 1 product page. Lemon-lychee flavor, 30 servings per container.

When should I take it — morning or night? With food?

One scoop a day, in water, at whatever time you will actually remember. Most people take it in the morning. The only thing that matters is consistency — fiber and prebiotics work on a daily rhythm, not a single dose. If you take it with food and find it sits better, that is fine too.

When will I notice a difference?

Hydration is the same day — electrolytes work immediately. Digestion usually settles over the first two to four days. Regularity is where most people tell us they feel it, usually in the second or third week. The amino acids are the long game: muscle support matters across the months you stay on a GLP-1, not the first week.

If you are coming from little or no fiber, start with half a scoop for three days and drink more water than usual. Fiber works best when it is introduced gradually.

Will it help me keep muscle?

Muscle loss is one of the four things Dr. Roizental set out to address, and the amino acid blend is there for that reason. Amino acids are the building blocks your body uses for muscle, and intake tends to drop when appetite does. Gut 1 supports that intake — it does not replace protein in your diet or resistance training, both of which matter more.

Will it help with constipation?

Constipation is the problem Gut 1 was built around — it is the complaint Dr. Roizental heard most from his GLP-1 patients, and it is what our own customers write to us about most. The fiber and prebiotic blend is there to support regularity, and the enzymes to help digestion. It works best taken daily rather than only on the bad days, and with enough water.
